Other islands that can be reached by a ferry from Mallaig are Uist, Eigg, Muck, Rum and Canna.  You can go on trips to Knoydart by boat and enjoy walking along the beaches of Morar , camusdarroch and loch Mora.  This little town has everything that you might need for a short holiday break with quite a few shops and restaurants.
